You know what the craziest thing about this car is. The fifth gen is like 10 inches shorter than a fourth, but hs more rear legroom, and trunk space.

This falls right in the absolute low point of interest for me. I find most stuff from 1975 or earlier pretty interesting, and I have a huge thing for models born in the 80s, but most late 70s models and their holdovers into the next decade do very little for me styling wise.

I think it's late 70's "we can't afford to try right now" styling if part of its appeal to me. that the BLACK paint job. I've seen pics of them in other colors, I only like it in black.

YES! The 350 Buick is super weird, which makes it more Jalop than most other stuff. It's a good motor, though. Not fast, but good. I would be the odd dude that puts a 455 Buick in it, just to be that guy . Same mounts, same trans bolt pattern, moar torques.

Snatch it. It's a good car.

only two things really holding me back 1 it's an auto

2 from what I've researched the 350 in this only makes a whopping 155hp. Now I know it probably has a good amount of torque to make up for the hp number. but that's just sad.

However both of those issues can be remedied with time a wench and stacks of Benjamins.

1. Auto? Well...yeah...but sometimes it's worth it.

2. 155HP. Yeah...that's a real serious concern. Certainly, Benjamins can fix that issue. Maybe you can lowball and save a couple to dump on the engine?

But of course. I'd want to put stock wheelcovers back on it, but the Buicks were my favorite of the downsized B-bodies, love the inset headlights.
